Ph.D., Eng. Dariusz Szabra

In 1995, he graduated from the Military University of Technology. He obtained the professional title of Master of Science in Engineering in the field of optoelectronics at the Faculty of Electronics of the Military University of Technology.

After completing his studies, he gained professional experience at the Technical Institute of Armament and in the 10th Airborne Assault Battalion.

His professional activities included scientific and design work related to the application of thermal imaging in military applications, the development of self-guiding ammunition for thermal radiation targets, the testing of military equipment and ammunition, and the development of optoelectronic systems for modern military trainers and battlefield reconnaissance systems.

In 2006, he defended his doctoral dissertation titled “Analysis and Optimization of the Guidance Head of Rotating Smart Munitions” at the Faculty of Electronics of the Warsaw University of Technology. This work summarized his scientific contributions regarding the possibility of developing an optimized, in terms of wavelength and geometry, mosaic uncooled detector of HgCdTe enabling the guidance of a rotating projectile towards armored targets.

In 2010, he began his scientific and educational activities at the Institute of Optoelectronics of the Military University of Technology.

For his scientific research and design achievements, he has received numerous awards and distinctions.

He is a specialist in the field of thermal imaging, optical signal detection, and optoelectronic systems.

His scientific output includes several dozen scientific publications as well as patents and utility models.
